Su Marmuri Caves

You can visit some of nature’s most impressive works of art, including the caves of Is Zuddas in Sadali, and Su Marmuri caves in the Ulassai area.
Over one kilometre long, with an average height of 35 metres, the latter are considered some of the most imposing caves in Europe. After going down 200 steps, the visit follows an easy trail along which you will see an endless number of underground springs that often form little lakes along the caves’ right walls. An underground wonderland festooned with stalactites and stalagmites.
In Ulassai you can also visit the Museum of Contemporary Art, which hosts works by Maria Lai, and the traditional artisanal rug and tapestry workshop.
